The Shower Helper has a patent pending swivel system that puts caregiver safety first. The seat swivels on a bearing less system that is durable and smooth to operate. The swivel allows for user and caregiver to develop a routine within most bathrooms that is optimized for safety, user dignity and hygiene.
Foot management system
The users feet are always supported by the footrest system that complements the swivel capability once on the shower. In this way the caregiver need never lean over the user to assist in the bathing process.
Adjustable fit and transportable
Why limit yourself to one location? The Shower Helper fits into 2 soft bags and has an easy snap together assembly. Once assembled the Shower Helper can be adjusted to fit your shower stall by following a simple first time set up process. Better still it's made from high grade aluminum so it's lightweight (45lb) and strong (capable of bearing 300lbs).
Removable commode (shower version)
The Shower Helper model S has a plastic commode bucket that can easily be removed and cleaned. The lid fits snuggly and can be inserted while the commode is in place.
Support features
We understand that every user has a unique requirement for support and offer various options to meet your needs. Each unit comes standard with an articulating headrest that is adjustable to match the users posture and provides a comfortable way to support the head. We have also developed an "H" suspender system that provides excellent lateral support while maintaining accessibility to the body for hygiene.
Aesthetic appeal
When designing the Shower Helper we recognized that the unit should fit into the home setting. The high quality powder coat finish helps the Shower Helper appear non-medical and blend into the home.
Removable Shower track
Other members of the family can use the bathroom as normal simply by removing the shower track when not in use.
Safety features
There are several built in safety features designed to keep the chair in the correct place. The Model S safety locks can be foot operated by the assistant.
Safe transferwith fold up arms
Each of the 4 castors are braked to provide increased stability during transfer. The fold up arms complement use of a transfer board or side transfer. The footrest system is retractable for transfer from the front.
